I had a few extra minutes before class so I ran home and tried an old style I used during my transition: the bun-out.
I moisturized each section with a dab of Donna Marie Super Buttercreme and a generous dab of Donna Marie Coconut Glaze Pomade (focusing mainly on the ends), made some big bantu knots (or buns), and left it for about 20 minutes.
Here's what I got when I took them out:
MUCH smoother, most of the frizziness is gone, and I can only imagine how much better they'd be if I slept in them. I'm going to re-do them tonight for bed.
Even after I walked back out in the rain, they held up pretty nicely.
So far, so good with the pomade helping prevent further frizziness and smoothing past frizziness. I'll have an official first impression review after a few days.
Looks very nice.
