goals for may

i honestly just canNOT fathom that may is merely a couple of days away. i just can't.
in a few short weeks, i will be embarking on my very first cruise with my best friend and i really can't wrap my head around the fact that something we purchased last august is actually about to come to fruition in 30-some days.
instead of focusing on how ridiculous father time has been (not that i'm complaining, but AREUKIDDINME?!?! MAAAAAY?!), i'm going to focus on what i really need to accomplish this month before i set sail!

1. write a thank you note to one staff member or student every workday.
i won't be returning to my job or my babies next year, and i'll be leaving behind a large part of my life. i spend more time at work and with my kids than anywhere else, and that has had a profound impact on me. i want to spend my last month as an english teacher remembering and being grateful for all of the good times, the laughs, and the support from the past two years.

2. spend 5 minutes per day cleaning my apartment.
my apartment looks like the aftermath of a monsoon. without going into too many details, i need it to be clean, and it will probably take all month.

3. read ALL of the cruise documents.
i haven't read pretty much anything the cruise line has sent, so i need to get my life together ASAP! i know there are a bunch of rules and regs that i'd like to believe i'm bad-ass enough to ignore, but i don't think my questionable street cred will keep me from a) crying if they don't let me on board; or b) crying hysterically if they don't let me on board.

4. take care of all of these friggin clothes.
i need to put my damn laundry away (which i can't trust to complete via #1 because i will spend those five minutes trying the clothes on and reminiscing about when i bought them, where i wore them, etc etc). i also need to get this black garbage bag of goodwill donations from its semi-permanent spot against my bedroom wall. i ALSO need to go to the tailor to get a bunch of dresses and pants hemmed for the cruise (and life in general).

5. continue making progress toward my debt-free future.
i paid off my first credit card this month (whoooot!), so i am determined to pay half of my second off by the end of may.

6. successfully complete the 21-day intuitive eating challenge.

7. possibly complete this challenge (although i'll be dividing everything in half because I'm being utterly realistic!).

any goals lined up for may?
