holiday party hair: curlformers on natural hair!

i took a one-night break from all of the protective styling i have been doing to attend a series of christmas parties (four!) on saturday.
here are the deets!

notes: i am in LOVE with the layered pre-poo! it will definitely be part of my regimen from now on.
for both the pre-poo and the deep condition, i fell asleep. this was fine for the pre-poo but my hair did NOT like the naturelle grow for that long. i need to make sure i rinse that out after an hour or so like i normally do.
300 was too hot for flat ironing my roots. i ended up turning it down to 250, and i will probably try as low as 200 next time.
this would be an excellent choice as a transitioning style! i wish curlformers had been around when i was transitioning!
